Inaugural "Rochester 800" Results In

Brian Trick knocked off Tim Morley, 495-459, Sunday to win the inaugural Rochester Invitational 800 Tournament at Domm Brothers Bowling Center.
Trick and Morley, both right-handers, each beat three earlier opponents in two-game, total-pin matches to reach the championship round.
Trick outscored Morley in Game 1, 249-213, to take a 36-pin lead into Game 2. And Game 2 ended in a 246-246 tie, giving Morley the title.
The tournament, sponsored by the Rochester USBC Bowling Association, was open to bowlers who had rolled a sanctioned 800 series within the previous 10 years.

Results From Day 1
Bill Stoddard shot 1,030 for four games to lead qualifiers in the inaugural Rochester Invitational 800Tournament at Domm Brothers Bowling Center Saturday.
Stoddard had games of 225, 279, 258 and 268 to top scorers in squad two. The first-squad leader was Brian Trick with a 908.
The top eight bowlers from each squad advanced to Sunday's championship finals, beginning at 1 p.m.
Members of the Rochester USBC Bowling Association who had bowled a sanctioned 800 series were eligible.
Today's finals consist of single elimination matches (two games). The championship match will pit the winner of squad one, vs. the winner of squad two.
Qualifying along with Trick in squad one were Jerry Brunette Jr., Bill Warren, Mike Reed, Terry Billitier, Chris Buonaugurio, Sylvester Sampson and Mark McClain.
Squad two qualifiers with Stoddard included Tony Speed, Dave Sigouin, Frank Martorella, Tim Morley,Michael Callan, Michael Palozzi and Al Emerson.
