Rochester USBC Bowler of the Year (25-26 Season)

  • There will be three different Bowler of the Year categories
  • Men (49 and under) Senior (50 and over) Woman (All women)
  • You will only receive points in the category that you qualify for
    • (example: woman and seniors can’t win the men’s Bowler of the Year)
  • The tournaments that will be used to decide Bowler of the Year are the following:
    • 700 Club, Mixed doubles, Senior Singles, Open Championships, Queens, Senior Masters and The Masters
  • There will be a designed point system used for each tournament
  • If the tournament allows re entries, you will only receive points for your highest finishing position
    • (example: The 700 Club)
  • For the open championships, you may receive points for multiple categories but only once in each category
  • For mixed doubles events, each person will receive points for the respected categories
  • All bowlers will receive points for an event bowled
  • In the event of a tie for the Bowler of the Year at the end of the season the tie breaker will go to the person with the highest single winning points session (for example if Bowler A was awarded 200 points at the 700 club and Bowler B was awarded 300 points at the masters the tie breaker would go to Bowler B) If there is still a tie then it will go to the second highest points won and so on till there is a winner determined
  • Honor scores thrown during an event will also receive points
  • The will be a award presented to the winner of each category at the Annual Board Meeting at the end of the season
  • Your age as of 8/1/25 will determine if you are in the men’s or senior category
  • Bowlers from touching associations are eligible to receive points
  • All final decisions are subject to approval from the Rochester NY USBC Board of Directors.
